The News for Battle of the Books

The teams: There are two teams representing Windsor Woods.

One team is the Reading Rockets. This squad holds 4 group members:
Krissi, Destanie, Isabel, and Colby.

The other team is the Magical Star Books. This squad holds:
Travis, Paris, Makaila, and Lexi.   

The Books

There are 10 books that both teams are responsible for reading.
What happens is Ms. Cameron has the books and the kids choose the ones they want to read.
I recommend that two people in each team read the same book.
Each person has to read at least 5 of the 10 books before the first competition.

You can find these books in our school library and our local library.

The Prizes

If you and your team wins, you get prizes. Everyone who participates gets a certificate. The prize for winning the first round is a $5 gift card to Barnes and Noble.
For the second round, the winners receive a $10 Barnes and Noble gift card.
If your team makes it to the finals and wins, you get a trophy, a $20 gift card to
Barnes and Noble too, and the glory of winning.

The Reading Rockets won the first competition and the Magical Starbucks
came in as a close second. Windsor Woods couldn’t ask for more glory!

Just remember it is about having fun, not winning.
