APEX Fun Run

Newspaper Club Members, Krissi and Maddie sat down with Mr. Orebaugh to find out more information about our school fundraiser, the Apex Fun Run.

Good Morning Mr. O,

1. Do you think the school had fun at the Apex Fun Run, and why?

Answer:  I do certainly think everyone had fun. We talked about it for two weeks; talked about the character-building and got excited. Everyone participated and raised money for our school.

2. How much money did the school raise?

Answer:  Our school is still raising money, but so far we have 95% of the money people said they would give us. We have collected almost 9,000 dollars. That is 3,000 dollars more than last year!

3. Did you run any laps and if you did how many did you run?

Answer: I did run a couple laps with all of the grades but mostly the preschoolers to show them the path. I didn't have anyone mark my laps though.

4. What grade level raised the most money?

Answer: Third grade ended up with the most money. But we are still collecting pledges.

5. What is the school doing with the money we raised?

Answer: The money going into the P.T.A. account. We are looking into fun programs like Type to Learn and other programs that can be used with our Chromebooks and at home.

6. What makes you proud about the APEX Fun Run?

Answer: I was very proud of the effort and every student trying their best. I also loved seeing the parents and teachers showing their pride and cheering for students.
